Once you send it, the message containing your link includes a thumbnail image and preview, which you can close if you want to.

Use Teams chat in Microsoft Edge

There are two ways you can access Teams while viewing a webpage using Microsoft Edge.

When you open a webpage link from your Teams chat using Microsoft Edge, the chat window will follow you to the Edge browser so you can view the content and chat side-by-side. You can access your recent chats and start new chats directly from an embedded chat pane in the Edge sidebar, removing the need to switch back and forth between apps.

After you have opened a link from Teams for the first time, you will see the Teams icon appear in the right sidebar in your Microsoft Edge browser. You can open Teams directly from your Edge browser by clicking the Teams icon in the right sidebar. If you don’t see the Teams icon, select Customize  Plus sign icon and make sure Teams is switched on in Manage Apps.

To learn more, see Web links from Outlook emails and Teams chats open in Microsoft Edge.
