RESOLUTION

This issue occurs because:

  1. The Teams Meeting add-in installed by Teams for work or school does not work with an Outlook.com account. It only works with Microsoft 365 Exchange based work accounts.

  2. The Teams Meeting add-in in Outlook Desktop is not currently available for Teams for home or small business that use an Outlook.com account, Why can't I use the Teams Meeting add-in in Teams for personal and small business use?

If your Office Subscription is for personal or small business, you can still create Teams meetings either using the Teams web application or the Teams for home or small business desktop app. To access the web app or install the desktop app go to https://teams.live.com and sign in with your Outlook.com account. Use this application to create the Teams meetings and send the meeting invites, Create a meeting in Teams for personal and small business use. Meetings that you create in this application will synchronize to your Outlook Desktop calendar.

Note: Another install point for the desktop version, download Teams for home or small business, Download Microsoft Teams Desktop and Mobile Apps | Microsoft Teams.
