When you install the Stream mobile app beta, you can try out the new features and also provide feedback to the app development team. 

Install Stream mobile beta  

Installing the Stream mobile beta is easy. Use the following instructions according to your device type. 

  1. Open the Play Store (or work-profile Play Store if enabled by your organization).

  2. Search for "Microsoft Stream" in the search bar.

  3. Tap the app to open its Detail page.

  4. If Stream is not already installed, tap to install.

  5. On the same page, under Join the beta, tap Join to begin the enrolment process which can take several minutes to complete. 

Soon after enrolment is complete, you’ll be automatically updated to the beta version (if auto-update is switched ON). Otherwise, you can come back to the app detail page to update. 

  1. On iOS or iPadOS, install TestFlight app.

  2. Tap the beta link on your device: iOS beta link.

  3. Await the prompt to open the app in TestFlight.

  4. Accept the beta invitation and install.

  5. Allow a little time for the installation to complete.

Uninstall Stream mobile beta 

If you remove the Stream mobile app beta, you can easily reinstall the previous version.  

  1. Open the Play Store (or work-profile Play Store if enabled by your organization).

  2. Find the Stream app on the play store.

  3. Tap the app to open its Detail page.

  4. Under You’re a beta tester, tap Leave.

  5. Just like joining the beta, it can take a while for the process to complete, after which you will be automatically reverted to the publicly available app. 

  1. Tap the iOS beta link.

  2. Per the prompt, open the app in TestFlight.

  3. At the bottom Developer section, select Stop Testing.

  4. Optionally reinstall the Stream app from the App store.
