GroupMe lets you make free group voice and video calls with up to 100 people simultaneously. Here’s how to start a group call: 

  • Open the GroupMe app, and then tap the group chat that you want to call.

  • Tap or at the top-right corner of the screen.

  • A pop-up window asks you to confirm the call. To begin, tap Join Call.

  • The Join button appears in the chat conversation and chat list screens. To join the call, other group members can tap the Join button.

  • After someone joins the call, you will see their video (if it’s turned on) or their name on the screen. You can also see how many people are on the call and who is currently speaking.

  • To turn your video on or off, tap  at the bottom of the screen.

  • To mute or unmute yourself, tap  at the bottom of the screen.

  • To switch audio settings, tap 

  • To end the call, tap  Red phone icon

Note: Group calls are free and they use your internet connection. So, make sure that you have a good Wi-Fi or cellular data connection to make or join a group call. Group calls are not recorded or saved by GroupMe.
